Older Childhood Ministry

Children’s Church on Sunday is open to children from 1 year thru grade 8. The children enroll in classes based on grade level and/or age for an academic year (September-August) The classes are as follows:
Alphas: Grades K-2
Omegas: Grades 3-5
Confirmation Class: Grade 6-8

Registration

It is important to the Children’s Ministry that all children are safe while under our supervision. In order to ensure the safety of all children, including visitors, must be registered. This includes filling out a medical concerns form for any children with medical needs or concerns. Registrations are good for an academic year. There will be a re-registration period at the beginning of every academic year.

Sign In/Out Procedures for Older Children (Early Childhood has a different check in schedule)

All children must be signed in by an adult. Children are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until classroom ratios have been met. Older children may be signed in from 9:30am– 10:00am. If children arrive after 10:15 A.M., they will remain with their parents until after praise and worship in the sanctuary. Registration will resume after praise and worship until 11:00am. No children will be accepted after 11:00 a.m. unless they are children from the Allied neighborhood.

Children will only be released to an adult. All children will remain in their classrooms and parents will pick them up there.

Classrooms

Children’s Church is open to children from 1 year thru grade 8. The children enroll in classes based on grade level and/or age for an academic year (September-August) Parents are welcome to discuss exceptions with the Children's Ministry Director. The summer months are used to transition children by meeting their need to stay in the same class and prepare to move up.

Teachers keep attendance clipboards with them at all times!!! Children will only be released to an adult. Confirmation students are the only students able to sign themselves out. All children will remain in their classrooms and parents will pick them up there.
